My favorite line: "Your music sounded great to me, although I don't  
know anything about music."

Once a person commented on my performance of a Bach Fugue -- meaning  
to say that my performance sounded spontaneous, he said, "That Fugue  
sounded like it was the first time you ever looked at it."   After a  
pregnant pause, I said, "uh... was that a compliment?"   We both got a  
good laugh out of it!
