RE: Fripp - sound?New soundscape to download

I'm not sure exactly which of his sounds you're looking for, but a cheaper
solution to the sustainiac is a good old Ebow. Make sure you've got a real
or virtual volume pedal before your echo/reverb but after your
fuzz/distortion. Add a harmonizer that's got a way to control pitch and
feedback in real time (a midi control pedal will probably be needed) and
you
are on your way. The Boss VH-1 (which I always promote) can do most of
these things and can be found cheap on ebay. $200 or so.

Hi Christo,

Try playing with a Les Paul and use a Big Muff fuzz box. Oh... and
play with the neck pick-up. You may also experiment with turning down
the high frequencies, either by rolling off the top on the Big Muff
or by the tone knob on the Les Paul, or a combination. The fuzz box
will treat the signal differently depending on the guitars tone knob
setting.
