In my EDP I can not detect any extra noise added. I  mean, not more  
than any pre amp would. As a comparison, my Ibanez Tube Screamer adds  
a huge noise floor, so does my Big Muff. Even a Line-6 POD 1 is  
noisier than the EDP.
