Does this specific technique really cause the DL4 to
fail?  Do you mean simply sweeping the delay time with
a high feedback?  I've had mine for about a month now,
with no trouble yet (knock on wood), though I did
purchase the extended warranty at Guitar Center after
Ted's post.
