In that case Rainer, i think i'm going with the Firebox you originally talked about. Do you prefere this instead of the FW410 from M-Audio?

There is (imo) one nice USB(2) audio interface, and that's the Marian UCON
CX. The reason why it's the best one? Because it's USB2!
Bandwidth is a problem with USB1.1, at least if you ever think about 24/96.
