Just think of it.. for me, another interesting aspect of a long scale fretless with heavy jazz strings would be the double use as a slide axe. Now, if only someone made a not too expensive kit to retune between a standard and open E tuning.. Of cause, I could use three Hipshot tuners for the A/D/G strings, and have those all on one side of the head. Used to use my old '73 Dan Armstrong for slide, but with a mere 25" scale, it's not really suited for this. -- rgds, van Sinn
