RC50 "warbling"

i'm trying to figure out if all rc50's are doing this
or is it just mine. roland support is basically of no
help and will only pass the buck off to japan who, as
they've said since very early on with this box, is
aware of many issues but has not released another
update nor is there any clue that they will. here's
the issue:

in single shot mode, no sync or midi attempted. loop
"a" works fine but sometimes loop "b" and almost
always loop "c" will play back with a heavy warbly
kind of sound, almost like all of the samples are
scrambled. i know they have problems with the clock
and syncing and i'm wondering if this is somehow
related. it happens only during the first few minutes
or more specifically the first couple of banks that i
use. i've found a workaround by just filling up a
couple of blank banks and then erasing them before i
start to play but who needs to do this every time i
set up?

any help?
