Midi Wizard controller - help needed

I acquired a new Rolls MidiWizard foot controller about a year ago.  I'd
like to use it now to control Mobius and/or  effects processors.   

Its programming capabilities are limited.  The "manual" is very sparse, and
its no longer in production or supported by Rolls.  I tried it when I first
got it, but the button presses didn't seem to do what I wanted/expected.

Anyone using it?   Are there any tricks to it?    For example,   some
effects processors are expecting unlatched  or latched pedal presses.  (I'm
not completely sure that that means yet). 

Advice would be greatly appreciated
