Hard to tell... probably not, but it's your call. Operator is an FM  
synthesis based software synthesizer while Mobius is an audio looper.  
If you think Operator is a good synth and if you want to play a synth  
while looping in Moibus, then you might need to get Operator. But you  
can actually use Operator without buying it if you are fine with demo  
mode. In demo mode Operator is fully working but you can not save  
your synth patches. So why not get Live without Operator and try out  
if you need it?

No, a very bad replacement. ;-))
