RE: rc-2 v rc20xl
Title: Message
You
can use them for either punching the Reverse function in mid loop or you can use
the bigger switch(the one with two buttons) to go up or down a loop track with
your foot.
what do the additional boss footswitches(fs5u and fs6) that can be
purchased with the RC 2, 20xl and 50 do exactly? Its seems they would be more
useful for the RC 2 because of its more limited live performance capabilities.
I play with a RC-20xl.
If you have simultaneous loops going, does it allow you to undo the most
recent overdub, but allow the earlier recorded loops in teh
phrase to keep playing?
Does it allow you to move to one of the other banks while you are playing
live?
Basically, try to sell me on it? How will it make my life
complete?!

In
regards to the RC2 vs the RC20xl, they are pretty much the same in
their functions, but that second pedal will come in really handy if
your'e switching from loop slot to loop slot. Also, and
don't quote me on this, the 20 has a few more functions than the
2, the 2 is basic, in the sense that it just records and overdubs,
the 20 I believe has reverse, and loop quantize, as well as using one
of the pedals for tap tempo(not too sure about that yet). I
own the 2 and if you need a very basic loop pedal for some
simple layering, that'll do it, but if you are using it
for composition, I'd go with the 20. --- Joshua Rothhaas <
