battery-driven Mic PreAmp?

Hi Guys (+ Girls?)

I wanted to fulfill my dream of a humble, battery-driven looping setup 
with an RC-2.
My understanding is that the RC-2 has only a Guitar Input. So, I guess I 
need a Mic PreAmp, something like the small ART Mic PreAmps 
(http://artproaudio.com/products.asp?type=79&cat=1&id=58).

Do you have any suggestions that are __battery__ driven?
Can be also anything else (small mixer, effect..) - it just should be 
small, battery driven and have a reasonable price & sound quality for live 
performance.
