Re: OT: Small/Light Acoustic Guitar Amps for Nylon String Guitars

Our bass player (www.marionbass.com) uses a little AER amp and it sounds incredibly good! Teeny tiny but very big sound. Expensive, though ($3K!). Let me know if you find a good price on AER stuff.

Hi Kris,

A while back I ran across a site that had good things to say about AER amps.

You might want to check them out. I think their compact 60 might work for you.

Good luck,

I know it's off topic, but for those loopers out there using acoustic guitars like myself, are you using amps (not PA), and if so what?  I'm doing research and found about 10 different acoustic guitar amplifiers to choose from. This one had some good reviews for transparency, has digital effects and level control, etc:

I also read up on the Roland, Fender, Ibanez, and Crate acoustic guitar amps.

I'm looking for a very small amp, like the size of the Roland Cube 30, but full range with a tweeter or coaxial speaker.

Played my new Taylor nylon string at my jazz gig last night, through the Roland Cube 30...not bad, but not ideal.
