A good idea is gear insurance. If you belong to ASCAP or BMI, there are
gear insurance companies that will allow for full replacement value, no
matter if your gear is at home, in the car, or in a club. Now my gear is
insured, I feel, at least, a little better. It is still horrible to hear
a story like this though.
