Why don't you try a Baritone guitar,
there's new one from Danelectro for $250,
it's called a,  "Innuendo".  30inch neck,
built in effects,  tuned B / B.
String gauges, 14 to 68. tremelo bridge.
It's like a strat,, but with a long neck, and
big strings.  Dirt cheap, try one.
