Re: OT DID YOU KNOW? A fascinating and eye opening video about changes in the digital media age

Per,

I must say it's looking quite interesting, the new world where China
and India takes a lead. What especially excites me is the fact that
these countries rely on a cultural foundation that goes back some five
thousand years, at least. We don't have that cultural backtrack here
in central Europe and the US totally lacks it.

We don't? European culture can be traced at least as far back as Chinese or Indian. The difference is that Western culture has changed dramatically over those thousands of years - mostly for the better - whereas Asian culture has stood still for much of that time. India and China are now taking the lead because they, to a large extent, are now embracing western enlightenment values, at least where it comes to economics and business. And the US especially is losing its lead because, for the last couple of decades, it has seen the resurgence of religious superstition and anti-scientific thinking that has kept Asia and the Orient frozen for so long.

But LD is not a political debating club ...

To stay a little bit on topic, you may be interested to know I've been playing with your 'stepophonic looperformer' idea in Usine. It's actually almost trivially easy to build something like this in Usine. Just connect a piano-roll module to a sampler module or several step sequencer modules to several sampler modules and away you go! Endless hours of looping fun ...
