Re: Amp for guitar and keyboard?
After looking at the prices of those, I might have to change to something else.
About $1k for a pair, ahhh. Could I just have a friend build a 15" enclosure with a pre/power amp in there?

Hmm, that sounds interesting.
I could run a tube buffer before the guitar signal, and then just run the synths into their own.
One possibility you could consider is a JBL Eon 15 powered speaker.
Those have a nice even frequency response, a sweet, clean sound, and plenty of volume.
When I'm not using a pair as a pa system, I use just one as a guitar amp,
and (with the right pre-amp of course) it sounds great.

Hey,
I'm trying to find an amp that I can run in stereo with my rivera knucklehead. I will be running the line out of my rivera, as well as my softsyths, into my echoplex. I was wondering what kind of amp would be able to accurately replicate the tones. I don't need it for a monitoring system, just for myself.
I've been looking at the roland jazz chorus, or some of the larger cubes, but I don't know if they can handle the frequencies of the synths (minimoog and arp). I know that the ideal amp would have a 15" speaker, but that would require me buying an amp, and then a 15" cab.
Any suggestions from people who do this live?
