The Looperlative LP1 was never meant as a replacement for the EDP.
Because
they are both looping devices there are some common functions. However,
beyond the basic looping features, they have different feature sets.
Which
device suits you best can only be decided by you.

If you want to use the absolute latest features added to the device, then
yes, you are part of the testing team. However, if you stick to only the
stable releases of the firmware, then you would be fine. The LP1 is now
over 2 years old and used on a daily basis by several people.
I've said all along that there it is good for the looping community if
multiple manufacturers offer devices to choose from. No one device can be
the perfect solution for every person. It is important for different
devices to exist to give people the flexibility of choosing what works
best
for them.
