Electrix



Hopefully this is not in bad form, but from the Repeater Yahoo group comes this (not very good) news.

Just wanted to give a heads up...

I ordered the upgrade on Dec. 22nd and still hadn't received any sort
of confirmation or update, much less a CF card in the mail. I received
no replies to my emails to support and info@electrixpro.com. I
received no call back after leaving a message with sales. Finally, I
called customer support and luckily got someone named Aaron. Seems
they've got a bit of a mess on their hands. Something about the guy
handling paypal orders not doing his job/stealing the money from the
orders. Sounded bad.

According to Aaron, they don't even have the CFC's in to fill the
orders at the moment, but they should sometime within the next week
and a half, and will start shipping them then. He also offered to
email the OS update to me instead of shipping a CF card, as I would
get it sooner and it would make it easier for them. I agreed as I've
grown a bit impatient and the cost of a 32mb CFC that isn't even
usable to loop on just doesn't matter at this point. So hopefully I'll
be getting an email soon.

If you've been waiting on an order, you might try giving them a call.

Also, a friend who works in a local music shop trying to order Electrix goods has told me that they have told him that they hit a snag in the virtual repeater in trying to make it compatible with the Ilok (the software key).  Somehow that has not gone as expected and they are struggling to resolve it.  Don't know how that excuse holds up in the real world (I know nothing of software and security) but that's what I've heard.
