Re: TimeFactor (and RC20)

I just tried it on the timefactor--nope, doesn't work.

I don't know about the other loopers mentioned, but there is actually a way around this using the RC20XL.  You need to pre-record silences of fixed lengths into the phrase stores.  Then, you can start the silent loop running and 'punch in' loops.  The loop will be overwritten without any clicks etc.  Reverb and echo effects will overlap the loop point naturally etc.

Erasing the loops recorded does NOT erase the silent loops, so they can be re-used.

Of course, this method does require you to work with pre-fixed length loops, which I can understand would not suit most people.  Works fine for me though.

I'm not sure that this isn't just a fact of these kinds of loopers. I've
asked the same question of the RC20XL and have an issue with the DL4 but to
a lesser extent. The oanly way that I can create a constant drone, is to set
a long delay with 100% feedback, play and hold a note, then remove the input
(footswitch or volume pedal), this seems to be the only way of getting a
constantly held note. This way too, of course you can add to the drone...
