Re: Recent Listening...

I've been on a big 2nd Vienna School kick of late, so lots of Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern.

On top of that, I reloaded the take-to-work ipod over the holidays and it's got: Nels Cline, John Adams, Thelonious Monk, Lee Konitz, Steve Lacy, Sonic Youth (still trying to 'get' them but I haven't yet and think I'm going to give up), Albert Ayler (you can never too much AA), Arcade Fire, Lounge Lizards, Barre Phillips, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, Cuong Vu, Peter Brotzmann, Sunny Murray, Sonny Clark, Tom Cora, Lyle Mays, John Stevens, David Murray, Eric Chenaux, Gil Evans Orchestra, Joe McPhee, and William Parker.

Sorry, not trying to brag, but I get bored semi-easily and, probably like most people on this list, my tastes aren't easily pigeonholed, other than being called 'eclectic'.

ted harms.
