RE: controlling loops with a remote (was: Wii Loop Machine utilizes Wiimote to manipulate beats)
Rainer- You could just use a wireless keyboard. Maybe larger than you
would prefer, but zero learning curve or programming, and very
inexpensive. I'm not sure what the distance limitations are.

Subject: controlling loops with a remote (was: Wii Loop Machine utilizes
Wiimote to manipulate beats)
funny thing...just today when I stepped into my condo returning from
work, I thought "hey, controlling your powerpoint presentations or your
media player with a mobile phone is cool - now would it be possible to
use the same technology to control music stuff?" Perhaps some
application (for XP of course ;) which would react to bluetooth messages
and translate them into MIDI, which could then control your application
via MIDI yoke or something...
...and then you'd need a java application for your phone.
Any coders out there who want to go for that?
