RE: Yamaha UD-Stomp vs. Magic Stomp
Hi--
I had the UD for 6 weeks, really liked the modulations and enjoyed the loop
possibilities--but sold it again so I could buy the 34One Tap Tempo pedal.
Bottom line for me was, it didn't use MIDI clock, and it was tough to get
to
the tap tempo section--same with the sampling section--same with changing
patches without MIDI. So my report is, the sound is great but the
interface
was not. BTW, that is the same thing I hear about the Magic Stomp!

Hey:
I bought a UD-Stomp at the blowout price. The sound quality is great but
the
pedal has a flaky control idiom. To change patches/banks, you have to get
the hang of the button presses properly. When I haven't used the pedal for
a while, I seem to forget the proper sequence (perhaps the result of an
improperly spent youth) and have to refer to the manual. In other words
it's
not intuitive.
