Re: sync-ing non-midi loopers???/Quiet switches for Headrush!
jack,
Good Idea! They should stay perfectly in sync. And the switches
inside
the Headrush are DPDT (push/push) so you even have extra lugs on each
switch
to do it. Aaaaand one wall wart is plenty, just make up a pig-tailed
Y-plug
for one of them. I use this all the time. For instance, I have had two
Korg
X5DR's running off one wall wart for two years now and both my Headrushes
are
on another, etc. Works fine.
I use my Headrushes differently than you suggest however. One's 'mix
out' goes to the other's 'input'. That ultimately gives me a 23 second
loop
with many, many, many layers, if I so choose.
Btw: I have found much quieter switches for the Headrush too, if you
do a
lot of vocal or acoustic instrument looping in a very quiet room where the
click of the switches is picked up by your mic(s). Alcoswitch Part#
MPG-106D. SPDT. They are not the 'combat strength' switches the
originals
are however. I remounted the original switches on mine with rubber
washers
and that helped soften the click sufficiently for me.
good luck,
