Basically where I'm coming from is I'm looking for a DDL with 4+seconds of delay, controls which allow me to, at the very least, change the pitch of the loop on the fly, and preferably some kind of sampling mode which I can solo over although this is not vital as I can use an AB box to accomplish this if need be. I don't have a preference as far as pedal vs. rackmount but it has to work well run in front of the amp as I don't have an fx loop and am not about to upgrade or modify my vibrolux reverb ;-) I'm especially interested in sleepers like some of the older BOSS/Roland, Digitech/DOD etc. models (ADA? Mine tends to do unpredictable and uneven pitch glitching lately which is a shame since those nice time/pitchshifts are clearly the coolest feature of the unit. 18: I always found that the output level of my PDS8000 is about 1:1, no level boost possible despite it's IN and OUT level controls, but it doen't cut volume down. 22: my old post (below) from april...various pedals do it different ways. "hold" function is one way, the new digitech pedals (digi-delay and dl8) have that if you keep the feedback at 3 o'clock, you can continue to add stuff to the delay time, then if you move feedback to 100% it will lock the delay loop in and you can play over it (or mangle the time) and have the mangled time be your backing loop (my fun use). so under the category is any delay pedal (device) that offers 100% feedback. one ex: the ibanez de7-the delay does not go to 100%, i think when i had it, the most repeats were about 10 and it would fade away, but yes, i think we need a DELAY -BASED LOOPING LIST.

18: ... of course lately I have been building glitchy craziness toggling the instant hold switch on the PDS-8000 thus opening and closing the delay line instantly- the Timebender requires a long press to freeze and unfreeze the delay. Oh well- almost perfect!
