Re: New Boomerang software

Can a Side car be used with the two Boomerangs?

If you have 2 IIIs connected with 2 MIDI cables and the appropriate optional behavior settings, then with all loops erased on both pedals... either III can initiate a loop session and become the master. The other III will obligingly become the slave. Is it really a slave if it submits willingly?
BUT if only a single cable connects 2 IIIs, the "upstream" pedal will always be the master if the 2 are using bro-sync behavior.

I would say that from a user point of view Brother Sync is way better
for ensemble jamming than MIDI Clock. Given that this really has this
Rang protocol has the same features as the EDP's original Brother

advance which player shall take the sync master role and which one
shall be the sync slave - like you have to do if going with a MIDI
Clock system.

Sorry to say, but why would you not use MIDI clock to sync them together..
From a user point of view I mean (we can definitely see the interest for any
hard/software maker)?

Hi folks,
We have a new version of software that allows multiple Rang(TM) IIIs to be
synced WITHOUT any MIDI clock, and are looking for folks to check it out.
It's free, of course, and can be easily downloaded, but makes no sense to do
so unless you have more than one III. This new software, to be dubbed V3.1
when released, has only one new feature, this "brother sync" concept. You'll
need MIDI cables connecting the IIIs.
I was testing with 3 Rang(TM) IIIs and had some impressive results: 12 loops
could be started and stopped and played together.

If you're interested, send me an email and I'll reply with 2 attached files:
.mid software file (downloaded to the III with a MIDI file player) and a
.doc file describing the software.

Thanks.
