Re: LP1 + Gordius LG

I have not used my LP1 since my Behringer Midi controller started having issues and was thinking about selling it. Is the Gordius Littlle Giant working well for you Andy?

I've been setting up the LP1 to be (probably) the only
loop device I'm going to use for a couple of gigs.

The LP1 does have it's drawbacks for me, but I just need to work
with it seriously. ( partly it's research, to see which features become "essential").

Just been programming some longpress/shortpress functionality into the
Gordius Little Giant midi controller.

This really makes the Lp1 more controllable.

I have a regular Stop/Start switch, but holding it for more than 480mS
( the time is programmable in the LG) will now Erase the loop.
In that case the Stop/Start happens right away on toe down, so it's always sent.

(Erase is handy...just stopping the loop and re-recording over it is buggy).

I also have a shortpress="Set as master", longpress="Mult by 2" switch.
(I have 2 gigs coming up where a bit of 'ambient' is going to be needed,
and "mult by 2" aka "double" is just the thing.)
In this one "Set as master" is only sent on the release of a shortpress.

What I didn't realise was how easy the shorts/longs are to program
into the LP1. Shortpress to program the regular function as usual,
and the same for longpress. Obvious really.

It'll be fun having ambient unsynced  loops running and being able to build up rhythmic synced loops alongside.
(without having to use another loop device)
