Can midi CC pass THRU an merge box on its way to somewhere else?
I have been very successfully using the Mission Link wifi box with my iPhone/Pad, controlling my hardware (specifically EDPs and Repeater from Touch OSC) But now I got a nice layout of the everything on the GR55, so maybe I can program that beast without getting down on my bad knee.
But heres the thing.. the midi info is not quite getting there. It seems to be being stripped away by the last thing in the chain.. a midi merge box!
Heres my chain:
FCB1010 (pedal) >>> Missing link (Wifi box) >>> EDP IN / EDP OUT >>> Repeater IN / Repeater Thru >>> Merge box /output 1 >>> GR55 (out 2 goes to GR30, they both need clock)
Now if I miss out the midi merge box I CAN send midi out from the wifi box, all the way down to the GR55, but if I put the box back in, I cant...
Why is that? Merge boxes dont just do Notes and Clock do they?
Could it be that the Merge box NOW need power (I use it without a power cable, but it HAS got a power in socket, but Ive never needed to power it b4?
Any Ideas?
