Re: EDP Nextloop

Michael,
there are many ways to use NextLoop.
This is for Unsynced playing.

The way I do it is to have
SwitchQuant=CnF

which opens up the options

and

SamplerStyle=Sta
which means the loop will always play from start when you go to it
(otherwise it continues from where it was left)

MoreLoops = 2

which keeps things simple

So, make loop 1

hit Next
.....
....

Nothing happens,  CnF means "Confirm",
EDp's waiting for you to tell it *how* to Nextloop.

Most useful 3 options are to then hit

Record ...record loop2
Undo ...play loop 2 if it's there

Multiply ...copy loop 1 to loop2, just like a mult with all it's
alternate endings.

If you want Next to work on the first press, you need to sus the LoopCopy
and AutoRecord params
and set SwitchQuant= Off
...but if you're improv-ing you'll have lost all the flexibility of
SwitchQuant=CnF

can only sign off with

*have fun*  :-)

I've dug out one of my trusty EDPs and had the footpedal switches replaced, I can now use it in my band rehearsal room (where I don't use laptop and plugins).

One thing that occurred to me is that I never used Nextloop. Could someone please point me to the correct usage of this feature for a rhythmical, song oriented structure - which settings do I need to be able (e.g. Loopcopy) to first create a copy of my first loop that I can then modify, or to create a second loop that fits the first one, rhythmically, and how do I seamlessly switch between them? I played with this for a while and it never switched in time.
