Re: GR55 tip for USB digital line-in on Mac without sacrificing fidelity

Thanks, Per.  I think the GI10 has a 1/4" input on the front of it, but so far all the equipment that I've tried to use for voice to MIDI is only moderately successful.

Hey Per, what do you think of the GR55 for voice to MIDI or controlling its synth with voice?

I think the day Roland offers a "Voice Pickup" that talks to the GR55
it will totally rock. Until then we need string instruments with GK
pickups to drive the GR55. It doesn't detect normal MIDI, you need a
special Roland cable between the GK pickup and the GR55. The sounding
synths are all in the GR55 although the GR55 can also produce a MIDI
output to drive other parallel MIDI devices.
