"sine wave gating" is a bit confusing though.

If you mean varying the amplitude by a sine wave then
Mathons Chopan might do it if you used just one channel.

...but it doesn't let you sweep different quantised values,
each rhythmic division is on a separate push button.

...and it might not sound right, the amplitude response is optimised
for panning, not trem (although it's variable)


What about hard sync? (e.g. Chopan has capability to reset the LFO
at the beginning of the bar, might get you close enough to the effect you
want without quantising to note values)

...and why a sin wave in particular?

Hope you don't mind if I make a note of your spec for future
reference ;-)
