Subject: Can I brother synch WHILE synching via midi clock

Can I brother synch my EDP's as usual, BUT synchronize them to an external midi signal?
Currently my band are experiencing synch issues cos we cant get our 3
edps to play together on brother synch, but when I send one guy midi
clock from my edp, his edp doesnt synch to it via midi (actually I dont
understand how that works)
Now Im wondering if the MAIN ABELTON GUY send us all HIS midi clock ,
but then how do I set my gear? I need to set EDPs to IN then? but then
does brother synch work??
