New video on You Tube

Hi folks,

I've posted another video on You Tube -- it can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fIv9YlYyZg

The music for Improvisation/Construction # 1 was performed by Jacob William, Forbes Graham and Kevin Frenette (The "JFK Trio", my name for them) at Outpost 186 in Cambridge on June 26, 2011. I attended that concert, and took a lot of video footage of the performers. Kevin gave me a recording of the set, and I selected a section and constructed the video by processing footage from the show and combining the footage with other imagery from my library. I used a lot of footage of mist, taken from the back deck of the family lakeside cottage.

I made no attempt to synchronize the concert footage with the audio -- though I did try to match the musicians shown at any time with those can be heard on the soundtrack. I did make a conscious decision to always show one or more of the musicians throughout the piece.

This is my first effort at using this particular visual music structure, and I would very much appreciate feedback, especially concerning the pacing and the decision to use footage from the concert for the entire piece.

BTW Some of my photography can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/22231918@N06/collections/72157603627170351/
