danelectro tape echo/strymon timeline/ zoom g3

the dan-echo thing i had looked at a yr ago. it seemed interesting. i love the layout of it. wish it had more time available. wish it sort of mimiced creating a tape loop and manipulate the time more (slow/fast & fast/slow). there was something about it that i didn't end up pulling the trigger on. can't remember what. i watched lots of vids of it. for short 1.5 sec loops it seemed decent. good for your rockabillty stuff of course.

i also just saw that zoom released a zoom g3. saw some intro vids of it.
looks like a smaller version of line 6 m9, has 3 pedal layout-so simpler, 199$ price, has 40 sec looper.

also just saw this, re the strymon timeline (delay/looper):

Full featured 30-second, 24-bit stereo Looper, routable pre- or post-delay, with MIDI capability. More information on TimeLine looper functionality coming soon

Two independent delay lines can be configured in series or parallel (right/left split). The second delay has independent Mix, Repeat and Time values, and can also be set to track the first delay's knob values.

dtape: Full control over Tape Age, Wow & Flutter, Tape Crinkle, Tape Bias, Low End Contour, and Tape Speed

Mod Depth: Additional menu-driven parameters deliver extremely flexible tone shaping options and complete tweakability

Expression pedal input with selectable control over knob or combination of knobs, saveable per preset

Analog dry path for a zero latency dry signal that is never converted to digital

Selectable Trails mode with high quality, transparent Analog Buffered Bypass, saveable per preset

Trem: The Trem delay machine provides you with a synchronized tremolo with Waveshape, Depth and Speed for cool new sounds. Choose from triangle, square, sin, ramp, and saw to vary the delay amplitude.

Reverse: You play frontwards, it repeats backwards. Your playing triggers the delays, producing predictable, repeatable, and extremely useful reverse effects. Add some Smear to soften the attacks - smearing transients while retaining full frequency response.

+/- 3dB Boost/Cut, saveable per preset

Selectable Tap Subdivision, saveable per preset
