Hello Andre,

A COMP is great as long as you spend the time to learn how to use it & of 
course what the thing does. I primarily use COMP because that way I don't 
have to spend a lot of time fiddling with the VOL pedal. Once I get the 
guitar about where I want it, I'm OK. Plus, I spend a lot of time 
practicing listening to what I'm doing so I can feel comfortable not 
focusing on how I'm playing & get more into what I'm playing. My main COMP 
is the Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone & it's the best COMP I've ever used.
