I use the RC-50 with great success. It does what I need, except for a 
couple of things that have to do with pitch.
I have never used an EDP. It seems much more complex than the RC-50, more 
of an instrument, like others said. 

The RC-50 has the ability to save prerecorded sounds which I find useful. 
I don't think the EDP can do that, it is strictly a live looping tool, one 
of the best ones I think.

I think those 2 boxes are completely different in every way and it's the 
kind of question that can only have a subjective answer.
