Re: OT: New MBP... or not? (Firewire still necessary?)

Hi Luis

Per pretty much covered it all.
I'd also vote +1 for Logic Pro.

It's really incredible what you get in a package for <500,- EUR.
Mainstage alone is probably enough reason to get Logic Pro. I have no clue
about video, but somebody told me the video stuff (video/sound mangling)
is also very good. What I love: comping (mix several takes i.e. of vocal
recording). All the virtual instruments/effects/loops etc. you get as a
package would be well worth the money.

So, I like it more than Cubase. But I know enough people happy with
Cubase/Nuendo.

If you want to try a new thing, I'd recommend taking a closer look at
Reaper (http://www.reaper.fm). It's pure DAW. Costs 60$ / 225$ and you can
test it for free. Don't be fooled by the price. This is probably the most
stable/customizable/flexible DAW you can find on the market.

best regards
Buzap
