Rainer, I am sure you already have thought of it and of course not cheap 
but 
the DL 4 is really good at that stuff, add an ex ped and even better + 
looping.

My first analog delay pedal was a Boss DM-3, you could really mangle the

find one around.

The EH Memory Boy looks nice but haven't tried it. Also analog.
