Hi everyone,

with all the video experts here, I think I may as well ask you:

I'm looking for a video camera which is something like a camcorder 
without recorder/standalone functionality or a webcam with proper optics.

The use case is that for my virtual sessions, I look for a camera with 
higher-quality features (e.g. proper optics with focus) which must not 
run on batteries or record into some internal storage.

Is there something like that? If so, what is this category of cameras 
called? Any recommendations?
