Re: "East Coast Loopers" is now "Eastern Loopers"...

It's not that long ago that all one had was Ninjam, is it?

Wow. Even though I asked, I have to admit that I at least thought you guys were viewing each other. Very impressive that you were not. I could see taking the visuals out with each other would not only encourage, but FORCE you to listen and respond to each other musically.
Outstanding.

Todd thanks so much for the note and watching the playback back.  We currently are 'not on camera' partly as a past edict to a preferred criteria set in motion by the recent Virtual Sound and Vision festival, which was to try to do something more than 'just musicians playing in front of a webcam' plus currently two of our gathering don't as yet have webcams or have worked with them but that's coming though I think a mix of the archive video and some live is the goal.  The last two films have been great fun to work with.  So secondary answer no  we are not seeing each other we are merely as Chinapainting partner Daryl once said 'reacting to each others live sounds through speakers and headphones and reacting back'.  NinJam is a wonderful mysterious challenging exciting turf but probably responsible for some of my most creative productive music these last few years.

Thanks again for your words.

Jim,

No problem. I just listened to some of the archive, very good. Are you 4 able to see each other via webcam? Does this webcast format have the ability to show a split screen of the four of you playing individually? I liked the visuals, but I would love to see a flash of who is doing what every couple of minutes. Not complaining, just wondering if that is possible.
Sonically, I loved it.

Todd my apologies, that was my typo missing 'live' in the link, too little sleep and rushing to get ready for the cast but thanks for trying.  As Jeff indicated the archive recording will be up in a bit at http://www.livestream.com/digitsignallive.

Oh Rainer, all Americans are americentric pigs. just accept it already. We still love you even tho you're from Europe. :-)

But yeah, actually, Eastern loopers to me intuitively means Asians. Although you can keep going East from there and hit the West, so West is East, no?

Well done, very US-like point of view: there cannot possibly be any point on earth farther east than New York with any traces of (looping) culture, so "Eastern US" and "Eastern" is synonymous.
Or would you accept people from farther east...like the whole of Europe? ;)

Okay I have taken the challenge of our friends in the Northwest and created a Face Book group that I just renamed as I felt 'coast' was limiting, so it's now Eastern Loopers.  If you are in this community here in the Eastern US, either join FB or if you are in FB go to the link below and join up and let's get a festival going in this neck of the woods!
