Re: New to looping..

I'm a newbie myself in this looping thing, and just started to
experiment with that using my laptop. I recently started trying
different softwares that allow looping, and then I finally bought a
midi footcontroller (FCB 1010) to control them. Softwares like Ableton
Live and Guitar Rig will allow you great flexibility in terms of
setup. Also, I find Sooperlooper an excellent program, since it allows
you to open multiple looping devices, so you have the option both to
overdub in just one track, or record individual loops in different
tracks, that can be muted, or reversed, etc, or even do overdubbing in
all the tracks.
The only problem is that with this type of configuration, you have to
spend a lot of time to learn how to deal with midi language and
setting up an environment that works for your musical needs. Hope that
helps!
