oh, and the buffer size for the audio interface makes a huge difference as well. larger numbers for better performance

dunno if it improves performance in Logic though...you're better off getting the buffer settings right. i had lots of problems running Logic 4.2 on my old G4 titanium with "disk too slow" messages and it's the buffer settings and disk cache stuff that sorts it out
