EDP + Trigger Finger (Hey, I'm new)

Hi there,
I've been lurking here since about 2000. And have been slowly graduating up the loop chain from DL4, to RC-20, to RC-50, and finally in the past month I was able to afford an Echoplex...thanks to that rad MF deal. I instantly was enamored with it! Anyways, to the topic at hand.

I've attached an M-Audio Trigger Finger to my EDP, and have had some success with triggering loops (in sampleplay) and triggering other features.

I've seen in the archive that others use a similar setup. To those users: how do you program a note-on message ONLY, withOUT the note off? The triggerfinger insists on either a toggle state, or a depressed on/off state. Also, how, in general do you have your EDP+Triggerfinger setup? What functions do you have programmed?

Thanks,
Patrick
