RE: Firewire interface

FA101 is what I use ... below $500 (goes for $400 retail still I think..
probably $350 on ebay)

8 in, 8 out (10 if you use the optical)

Can't think of a thing I don’t like about it .... great sound quality, no
hiccups unless running several high end programs at once. Runs up to 24
bit, 192 kHz.

Pretty amazing to me that technology has gotten so good for under ~500
really.

Subject: Firewire interface

Hi all,

I'm looking at getting an 8 (analog) input Firewire interface for my PC
setup. I'm looking at...

M-Audio 1814
Alesis io 26
Echo AuidoFire8
Edirol FA101
Presonus Firestudio

Thoughts?

Keeping it under $500.

Tony
