echoplex pasting into another track?

hey everyone

was wondering if anyone knows how to cut and paste
one track into another track verbatim.  currently i'm pressing
next track and multiply which pastes it in real time but if
i accidentally press record early it cuts my loop short. this
is particularly difficult when the loops are really fast..

any help would be amazing!!!!
