Congrats on the release of your book/CD
combo Jim! I’ll have to pick one up.
Have a great time in Annaheim.

Subject: NAMM/CA GigSpam: Jim
Goodin Solo performance & new book on Mel Bay
For those at NAMM this year a heads-up I'll be performing
(non-looping) in the area in Anaheim
Saturday evening at the following:
Jim Goodin/Harvey Reid shared bill (technically I'm
opening but it's a full set not a usual 20 min warm-up)
250 E. Center, Anaheim
7:30pm $14.
At NAMM no vendor performances this year but on Sat/Sun
(19th/20th) I'll be roving but hanging out some at my endorsement booths
and publisher, Godin, GHS and Mel Bay. Hope to bump into some of you
on the list that I know or don't know.
Lastly newsworthy I became a Mel Bay author in 2001
when I got a contract to do a book for them. I finished the book/CD in
2004 and it's finally out and should be on display at Mel Bay's booth
at the show. It's my spin on one of the open-tunings I use, DADGAD and is
called DADGAD
Encyclopedia. It is a mix of thoughts, photographs (some made by me
instead of me), technique and 15 songs that I wrote/or arranged in this
tuning. I recorded the accompanying CD at Will Ackerman's Imaginary Road Studios in
VT during 2003/2004. Though this publication and content has nothing to
do with looping passing along for those who might be interested in
open-tunings. I am most excited about this accomplishment, closest thing
to birthing a child as a male I think, meaning this period of work.
Hope to see some of you at NAMM.
