you have to turn tempo Sync off because once you record the loop if you try to change the tempo it warbles it all up and your audio is unusable...one of the MAIN reasons I bought teh RC50 is because of the tempo synch feature ironically.

Regarding the RC-50 -- I've observed this when I record a loop then change the tempo.  It follows that a track, recorded at one tempo, then played back at another would do the same thing.
