Re: EH 2880

here are some comments about the 2880:

it definitely looks really cool, but the paint can be scratched off with a
fingernail in some places.

for hands-free operation you will need the remote - not really cheap, that
little thing. and it´s rubber feet fall off pretty soon.

you can not record loops of very short length (less than 1 or 2 secs). the
machine will add a silent gap.

i love the reverse function and the pitch fader.

instead of undo you could mute the track and go to the next one, record it
new. if you use only three tracks, that´s a possible workaround.

the four faders and the pan screws are great, outros can be faded
independently.

up to now (approx. 20 gigs) the machine has never crashed or glitched or
dropped out. i have to add that i keep it in a sturdy box packed safely in
rubber foam with the card detached from the slot.

i put tape over the blinking light - made me nervous.
once i started plazing and heard a click - i must have moved the click
control. now i check it frequently before starting to play.

the card gives you the option to import your tracks into the computer.
comes in very handy for producing.

well, i hope the above can be of help, all the best - tilmann
