I'd recommend any midi cable that has all metal jacks instead of molded plastic over metal. Cables from Conquest, Canare or Monster would do the trick, the other problem with Hosa type midi cables is the plastic sleeves can sometimes impede the ability to seat properly and some gear actually won't accommodate the diameter of the plastic sleeve. Money spent on good quality cables has always been money well spent for me. I use George L's for my audio patch stuff, and I've been very impressed with the new Planet Waves cables, particularly the ones with the circuit breaker switch. Haven’t tried their midi cables yet though.
