Paul, (sorry for bargin in) I don't think that Logic has been 
"Apple-ized" in any major way. I'm familiar with both the pre-Apple 
versions and Logic Pro 7. The later provides an audio environment that 
leaves very little to be desired. The other side of the coin is the 
(relative) complexity you mention. I only use Logic for producing 
recorded music; in live settings I've settled for Ableton Live.
