I should have answered that post if I had known "what brand I use".   
I usually throw away any cable that doesn't fit the bill, so I have  
no idea about brands. Why don't you bring your FCB 1010 pedal into a  
music store and politely ask them to try out a couple of MIDI  
cables?  ;-)
